It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end of the year. Classes have been full of energy lately, and our current mat routine has quickly become a favourite, lots of flowing movement, deep core work, and those lovely hip and spine releases that leave you feeling taller and looser afterwards. And I have to say, our Monday Chair Pilates group continues to brighten my week, such a lovely mix of laughter, support, and dedication to to keeping bodies strong, mobile, and balanced.
If you haven’t seen it yet, I put together a short 7-minute video preview so you can get a feel for what we’ve been working on in the mat class. You can watch it here:
📰 Christmas Class Schedule

🕊️ Looking Ahead!
I’m already thinking about kicking off the New Year with a little something different.. a Magic Circle (Pilates ring) class special.
The Pilates Magic Circle is one of my favourite pieces of small equipment. It adds gentle resistance that helps engage your deeper muscles, especially around the thighs, core, and arms, without straining the joints.
It’s brilliant for improving posture, coordination, and balance because it gives instant feedback: when you press the ring, you feel exactly which muscles are working. It’s simple, but incredibly effective for strengthening and toning while keeping movements controlled and joint-friendly.
It will be suitable for mixed ability, as long as you’re able to get up from the floor independently. If there’s enough interest, I’ll turn it into a regular weekly class, so let me know if you’d be up for it by replying to this email and let me know your preferred days, times and locations. ( I will provide the rings, or you can bring your own).
I’m also planning to weave some light Magic Circle work into our Chair Pilates classes in the New Year. It’s a great way to build strength and stability from a seated position, giving you all the benefits of resistance training without getting down on the floor.
That’s all from me for now. No fancy extras or spotlights this time .. just a genuine thank you for showing up each week, keeping me company on the mat or the chair, and making our classes such a supportive space.

⭐ A Small Favour
As a small local business, your feedback makes all the difference. Reviews not only lift my spirits but also help new people find and trust our little Pilates community in Dover.
In a world where so many choices are made online, honest words from real clients matter more than ever. If our classes have helped you feel stronger, calmer, or simply happier in your body, I’d be so grateful if you could share that experience.
It doesn’t have to be long, just a few words can help someone else take that first step towards feeling better too.
Thank you for being part of my journey and for supporting Pillar Pilates!
Wishing you a calm, happy December and a restorative Christmas break just around the corner.
Michelle 💜
